Patroness of the diocese of Katowice (12 September)
Hi, we pay tribute to you, Mother of Christ, Lady and Patroness of our diocese. For centuries you have taken a liking to Piekary as the seat of your glory and a fountain of grace in Silesia. How our fathers made pilgrimages to Your holy image with faith, and you, Our mother, you were their mainstay of faith in God and fidelity to the Church, so we gather before your gracious face.
Your motherly eyes look at us from the altar. Let us, mother, to look confidently towards you, especially this one, who have a heavy heart, overworked people, tired, the sick and the weak. With your mighty intercession, bring our brothers to the Heart of God, who have strayed from the path of faith and commandments, and ask for a grace for everyone, that they may live like God's children. Put in a good word for us, behind these, who plow the soil and those, who labor in the depths of the earth, take care of all workshops. Be the lady of towns and villages, watch over our ways. Obtain for us the power of faith, security, prosperity in doing, joy, hope and peace. Guard our bishops, priests and all our parishes. Ask for a blessing to our houses and cottages, parents and children, all this, who live in Silesia.
May your goodness and your overwhelming mediation direct our thoughts and actions to Jesus, Your son, and our Redeemer, that we are like you, they did everything for him. Amen.
