Prayer for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit

Prayer for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, You sanctify us, helping you to work on yourself. You console us by supporting us, when we are weak and helpless. I am asking you for your gifts. I am asking for the gift of wisdom, that I may know and love the Eternal Truth, you are, my God. I am asking for a gift of understanding, that I, as far as my mind can comprehend, he understood the truths of faith. I am asking for a gift of skill, let me look at the world, I saw in him the work of your goodness and wisdom, and that I should not be deceived, that created things can satisfy all my desires. I am asking for a gift of advice in difficult moments, when I don't know, how to proceed, a brooch for the gift of bravery in times of special difficulties and temptations. I am asking for a gift of piety, that I may be willing to associate with You in prayer, that I may see people as brothers, and the Church as an instrument of your paternal protection. Finally, I am asking for the gift of God's fear, to fear sin, which you, Oh my God, offense. Amen.

Most Holy Spirit, God, one in the dawn of the Church of St.. He deigned to descend upon the apostles and faithful, to enlighten their minds, kindle hearts and make them firm in faith, and sanctify them by life, I am begging you the most, also be with us always. Fill us with Your gifts, enlighten in doubts, comfort in sorrow, save in dangers, recover from mistakes, bear in falls, rule us according to your wisdom, unite us with mutual Christian love, let us all, to whatever state we belong to, they lived in harmony and holy unity as one family of God. Finally, lead us all to a happy eternity, that we, with a multitude of angels and saints, would give thanks and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
