O good Jesus, I'm coming to you, like that young man in the gospel, who have heard of you, he looked for you and asked: ,Good teacher, what should I do, to attain eternal life”? He certainly couldn't handle himself, he had doubts, he felt uneasy, that's why he came to you. And I come to you for help and advice.
Oh Jesus, so often I can't find you, I cannot comprehend your good, Your holiness.
I am consumed with duties, work and entertainment, I am looking for joy and satisfaction in them, and yet only you are fully good and can give full joy.
Oh Jesus, make it happen, to connect with you. Let my works be so fulfilled, so that I can offer them to You. Let me not forget to offer them to You. Let these be my pastimes, so that you can be with me by your grace at the time of play. Teach me to talk to you. Let it be a natural impulse to my soul, because of you, for your holiness and greatness.
A to, what's wrong with me, every act of pride and selfishness, let it fall off and no longer separate me from you. Make it happen, that by uniting with you, I may become better and more worthy of your friendship.
